The Un/Invited is a podcast brand identity designed for Michele Fornera, built around the story of crashing a Milan fashion party and accidentally ending up on the runway. Michele wanted a visual world that felt subversive, editorial and emotionally honest. The final identity leans into grain, texture, and a controlled sense of chaos, glamorous yet rebellious. Everything was designed to feel like both an invitation and an interruption, echoing the core themes of the podcast: belonging, boldness and crossing thresholds.
DE

THE BRIEF
The artwork should visually express the spirit and story behind The UN/INVITED, a podcast born from my own act of rebellion: the night I crashed a fashion party in Milan and ended up walking for a designer’s show a few months later. That moment, stepping across an invisible boundary from uninvited to invited, defines the emotional core of the visual identity.

There should be a clear subversive element that reflects my rebellious energy, the thrill of entering spaces I wasn’t meant to, of not waiting for permission or approval. The imagery should carry a mysterious, anarchic aura, evoking the tension and excitement of being uninvited yet undeniably present.
At the same time, the artwork should communicate the broader theme of transformation that the podcast explores: the shift from outside to inside, from feeling excluded to finding belonging. Inspired by my story, each guest’s journey mirrors that same creative breakthrough, crossing their own version of the “velvet rope.”

Ultimately, the artwork should feel like an invitation and a disruption at once, glamorous yet raw, refined yet rebellious, capturing the courage it takes to cross the line and claim your place inside.
